Arsenal are awaiting the news on two injured players following Wednesday’s 2-2 draw at Manchester United. Centre-back Rob Holding, who has been a regular first-team fixture under the former Sevilla and PSG boss this season, was seen clutching his knee in agony in the first half at Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old, who arrived at the Emirates in 2016 from Bolton Wanderers, was stretchered off to the worry of the manager and Unai Emery revealed the injury looks like a bad one.
“The worst news is the Rob Holding injury, the doctors think maybe it is a big injury but we are going to wait (to find out), it is his knee,” he was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
Welshman Aaron Ramsey, who will be leaving the club on a free at the end of the season as things stand, also picked up a knock but Emery expects the midfielder to be okay.
He added: “Ramsey I think is a small injury but they showed us that afterwards every player responded with a good quality.”
Arsenal twice gave up the lead as they drew 2-2 against the Red Devils, meaning the wait for a first league win at the Theatre of Dreams since 2006 goes on.
The Gunners did extend their unbeaten in all competitions to 20 matches and they return to action at home to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
