Ake Excited By Billing’s Arrival

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake says he is excited by the arrival of midfielder Philip Billing. The Denmark Under-21 international moved to the south coast earlier this week after Huddersfield Town agreed to sell him for £15million. His arrival came at a great time for boss Eddie Howe as he has lost David Brooks and Dan Gosling to injury.

Ake faced Billing on two occasions last season but the Cherries got the better of them during their meetings in December and March. Despite their success, Ake says Billing was a real handful and believes he will be a great player for the Cherries.

He told afcbTV: “We met him and he’s a very nice guy so far. “We’ve played against him a few times obviously. He’s very hard to play against, very tall, strong and very technical, so I think he will do really well for us. “I’m sure the gaffer will make him an even better player and I’m very excited to have him here.”
