Striker Borja Baston has reportedly handed Alaves a blow by being ruled out for up to a month because of a hamstring injury. The 26-year-old Spanish forward only moved to the Primera Liga side on a season-long loan from Swansea in the summer transfer window and has scored one goal in three games to date.
However, it seems that Borja will be looking at up to four weeks on the sidelines after picking up an injury just over half-an-hour into a friendly game against Sochaux on Friday.
He is now set to miss the upcoming games against Valladolid, Rayo, Levante and Real Madrid, with coach Abelardo Fernandez set to give Jonathan Calleri a debut in his absence.
