Anderson Ready For Lancashire Action

James Anderson says he is looking forward to being able to give something back to Lancashire this summer with an extended run in the side.

England’s record Test wicket-taker will not be involved in the World Cup, so he will have an extended spell in the Lancashire side for the first time in a while.

He is also expected to play his part in their Royal London Cup campaign and is looking forward to doing his bit for the Red Rose.

“It’s exciting to have a bit of a stint here and give a bit back,” Anderson told the Lancashire Telegraph.

“I owe a lot to Lancashire for what they’ve helped me with over the years, how they’ve helped me get to where I am.

“So it will be nice to have a good stint and hopefully get us off to a good start in the Championship. “Promotion is all it’s about this year.

It’s not going to be easy because there’s some strong teams in this division.”
