Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith was happy with her performance despite finishing second in the 200m at the Birmingham Grand Prix.
The 22-year-old, who won triple gold at the European Championships in Berlin last week, finished behind Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas, with Dutch world champion Dafne Schippers third in a high quality contest.
The result was enough for Asher-Smith to book a place in the 200m at the Diamond League Grand Final, when she will also race over 100m at the meeting held over two nights in Zurich and Brussels on August 30-31.
The Londoner was pleased with her display in the West Midlands but is now looking to get some rest before racing in Switzerland.
“The race was such high calibre,” she told BBC Sport. “It was like being in an Olympic final.
“I am happy I was able to come out and perform in such a stacked field full of girls who, apart from me and Dafne, have been resting up.
“It has been a hectic week since Berlin so I am just looking forward to relaxing at home for a week or so before the next race in Zurich.”
