Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo insists Jan Oblak and Felipe Luis have long-term futures at the club. Oblak has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Europe since joining Atleti from Benfica in 2014.
The Slovenia international boasts over 150 appearances for the Spanish outfit and his exploits have led to interest from across the continent.
However, Cerezo has stressed Oblak’s importance to the squad and insists the 25-year-old won’t be leaving anytime soon.
Cerezo said: “Oblak is a great goalkeeper and a great person and he has a long contract with us but €100m doesn’t seem like a lot.
“There are three years left on his contract and you are starting to ask questions. Everyone is important for this great squad.”
Meanwhile, Brazil international Luis was also heavily linked with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano this summer.
Reports suggested that he was a top target for French champions Paris Saint-Germain, although it appears he won’t be departing either.
Cerezo added: “Filipe Luis is a much-needed player for Atleti and, like all the necessary players, he has to stay.”
