Reports in France claim Atletico Madrid are keen to sign Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette as a replacement for Antoine Griezmann. Barcelona were credited with an interest in the France international earlier this week but it appears they will face competition from La Liga rivals Atleti.
Griezmann has confirmed he will be leaving Atleti this summer and the Spanish outfit are already looking for his successor. French publication Le 10 Sport claims Lacazette is their top target after being impressed with his performances in north London.
It’s understood initial contact has been made to gauge the potential of striking a deal, although Arsenal are likely to play hardball and will not want to see the forward leave. Lacazette netted 13 times in the Premier League last term, laying on a further eight assists, to further bolster his reputation after previously catching the eye with Lyon.
