Gareth Bale believes Real Madrid’s dressing room is more relaxed following Cristiano Ronaldo’s summer exit to Juventus. After helping guide the club to their third consecutive Champions League trophy, the Portugal international ended his time at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer and went to Italy.
Bale feels that with Ronaldo now gone, Los Blancos are more focussed on the team and improving as a ‘unit’ rather than solely relying on the 33-year-old superstar.
“Obviously it’s going to be a little different from having such a big player there,” Bale told the Daily Mail.
“It’s maybe a bit more relaxed, yes. ‘I suppose there is more of a team, more working as one unit rather than one player.”
