Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is not about to cut his loan spell at Spanish side Valencia short and return to Stamford Bridge. One goal in 11 appearances for Valencia has seen them slip to the bottom half of the La Liga table and there have been reports they want to off load him back to Chelsea in the new year.
That is not the case though, according to the Belgium frontman, who responded to the rumours after scoring both his country’s goals in a Nations League game against Iceland on Thursday.
“On my departure from Valencia, there are only rumours,” Batshuayi said after Belgium extended their perfect Nations League record.
“I have no problem with the club and I understand the coach [Marcelino] very well. “We are in a bad phase, but we will continue working to overcome the slump.”
