Bayern Munich are investigating an incident in which Franck Ribery became embroiled in an altercation with a reporter on Saturday.
The confrontation occurred after Bayern’s 3-2 loss to Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park which left the Bavarians in fifth place in the Bundesliga standings, seven points behind table-topping BVB.

Reports began to surface after the final whistle that the former France international winger had ‘pushed’ and ‘slapped’ French journalist Patrick Guillou after the beIN reporter had blamed Ribery for two of Dortmund’s goals.
Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has confirmed there was an incident and will look to get to the bottom of it as soon as possible.
“Franck Ribery has informed us that he had an altercation with his compatriot Patrick Guillou, whom he has known well for many years,” he told Bild. “We agreed with Patrick Guillou that we would speak at a personal meeting, we will talk about how we can solve the matter, and Mr Guillou has already signalled that it is in his interest.”
