Christian Benteke is again missing for Crystal Palace for Monday’s trip to Bournemouth, while Jairo Riedewald is also absent. Striker Benteke withdrew from Belgium’s squad to face Scotland and Iceland due to a knee issue last month and has subsequently missed the Premier League games at Huddersfield and last week’s 0-0 draw against Newcastle at Selhurst Park.

The problem has not cleared up enough for him to be considered at the Vitality Stadium, so Jordan Ayew will continue to start in attack, while Riedewald is also ruled out after suffering an injury in the 3-0 midweek win against West Brom in the Carabao Cup.
Striker Connor Wickham is also still missing after his long-term injury issues, but boss Roy Hodgson hopes he will be able to return in the friendly game against Dulwich Hamlet on October 11.
Defender Scott Dann is also working his way back from a anterior cruciate ligament injury which has kept him out since January.
Hodgson is boosted by the availability of influential winger Wilfried Zaha who has not suffered any ill-effects from playing against Newcastle despite suffering a back spasm in the warm-up before the game.
