Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi says the side showed their true colours with their win against Lazio at the weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo scored an 88th-minute penalty as champions Juventus came from behind to beat Lazio and go 11 points clear at the top of Serie A.

Bernardeschi, who had a hand in both goals during the comeback victory at the Stadio Olimpico, has summed up the secret to Juventus’ relentless pursuit of victory. “Character and personality,” the winger stated. “We’re always in the game, even when we’re in trouble. Once again we’ve shown that we never give up and we always have a chance right up until the final whistle. “We’re always ready, which is something that comes from our mentality. Even when someone doesn’t start, everybody knows they might have the opportunity to change the game at any moment, so we all stay focused.”
