Real Betis are reportedly keen on striking a deal for Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko but face competition. The Ukrainian made a sporadic number of appearances for
Pep Guardiola’s side last season, and played enough games to qualify for a Premier League winner’s medal.
However, with Benjamin Mendy back from a long-term injury, and Fabian Delph now seen as a trusted deputy at left back, Zinchenko’s chances of playing look slim this season.
He had been linked with a permanent switch to Wolves but reportedly chose to turn down a move to Molineux to fight for a place at the Etihad Stadium.
However, Guardiola has indicated that the 21-year-old Ukrainian will struggle to break into his first-team squad and that has alerted Real Betis, who are keen to strengthen this summer, with them being back in Europe at the Europa League group stages.
However, fellow La Liga outfit Girona are also interested, and as they are a feeder club to Manchester City, they may prefer to send him there instead.
City team mates Patrick Roberts and Aleix Garcia will also be spending the 2018/19 at Girona.
