Bolasie in demand as Eagles wait on deal

Bolasie in demand as Eagles wait on deal

Everton’s Yannick Bolasie would welcome a return to Crystal Palace this week but other Premier League clubs are also interested. The Everton winger decided to cut his loan spell at Aston Villa short earlier this month as he was struggling for regular game-time with the Championship club.
He has returned to Goodison Park but is now expected to be allowed out on loan somewhere else this week in a bid to kick-start his career.

Bolasie would ideally go back to Palace, where he starred before making a £26million move to Everton in 2016, but it’s unclear if Eagles boss Roy Hodgson wants him, even though he could do with more forward options for the remainder of the season.

The DR Congo international scored 13 goals and racked up 30 assists across 144 appearances all competitions for the south Londoners in a period between 2012-16, but he’s struggled to replicate that form away from Selhurst Park as a serious knee injury suffered in December 2016 kept him out for over a year.

It seems he is still trying to rediscover his full fitness and form a year on after a disappointing time at Villa but he hopes another move in the next few days will revive him.
Palace are keeping an eye on the situation but Cardiff, Newcastle and Burnley are also said to be willing to take him on loan and a deadline-day scramble to secure Bolasie’s services could ensue.
