Brathwaite Reported For Bowling Action

West Indies opener Kraigg Brathwaite is to have his bowling action investigated. The 26-year-old, who bowls part-time off-spin, was previously reported in 2017 during his side’s tour of England and is again set to come under scrutiny.

Brathwaite was sanctioned after the 257-run second Test defeat against India in Jamaica earlier this month. The Bajan only bowled two overs in the match, although he did manage to take the wicket of Ishant Sharma. He will now be required to undergo further testing by September 14, although he can continue to bowl until the results are known.

Brathwaite has a big few weeks ahead as he is due to play for Glamorgan in the final three matches of their Specsavers County Championship Division Two campaign, following the return of Shaun Marsh to Australia. The Welsh side face Worcestershire, Leicestershire and Durham as they aim to win promotion to Division One.
