Brighton skipper Bruno has told the players on the periphery of the Seagulls’ first team to bide their time as they will get a chance. Boss Chris Hughton has fielded the same starting XI for the past three games so those on the edge of the first team are chomping at the bit to get a start.
Bruno says those players will be called upon over the course of the season, and especially over the hectic Christmas period, but he has warned them they need to be ready.
The Spaniard told The Argus: “Of course we have a much stronger squad with very good players. The most important thing is that those not playing keep a team mentality. “They have to be prepared to get involved at any minute. The ones who aren’t playing need to keep pressing to get their place in the first team.
“If the starters keep playing at a good level, they need to be patient. “If the starters relax, those who are pressing for places will get their chance.”
