Burnley are among the leading contenders to sign Nick Powell from Wigan Athletic on a free transfer this summer.
The Clarets are understood to be in the running for the ex-Manchester United starlet’s signature after Wigan were unable to persuade him to sign a new deal.
But Sheffield Wednesday boss Steve Bruce is keen on being reunited with Powell, who he had at Hull City, and could push the boat out for the Englishman to join the Championship club.

The former Manchester United man has scored 28 goals in 88 league games for the Championship strugglers, including seven in 28 matches in the league this season.
