Luke Campbell insists he is happy working under new coach Shane McGuigan as he gears up for his rematch with Yvan Mendy. The 2012 Olympic gold medallist confirmed McGuigan as his coach in July as Campbell looks to get his career back on the right path.
Campbell is still working his way back through the division after losing to Jorge Linares in September 2017, having gone on to beat Troy James in the meantime.
A rematch with Mendy, who defeated Campbell in 2015, is set to take place on September 22 and the Hull-born fighter feels McGuigan is steering him in the right direction.
“In boxing, he [Shane McGuigan] sees things,” Campbell told Sky Sports. “He’s adding to my style and working to my strengths and attributes.
“It’s a great working relationship, I feel like this is it, this is working and this is great.”
