Joel Campbell has left Arsenal and joined Frosinone for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract. Costa Rica international Campbell has struggled to make any real impression on Arsenal’s first team since arriving in 2011 and he has had to make do with numerous loan spells away.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed temporary spells at Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos, Villarreal and Sporting Lisbon during his time with the Gunners, but his seven-year stint at the Emirates has now come to an end.
Campbell has joined Frosinone on a permanent deal, signing a contract until the summer of 2021, and he has already been involved in a training session with his new team-mates.
Confirming the forward’s exit from the Premier League, a statement from Arsenal said: “We would like to thank Joel for his contribution to the club and wish him well for the future.”
