Etienne Capoue believes Watford showed they have strength in depth after their 2-0 victory at Wolves on Saturday.
Adam Masina, Adrian Mariappa, Gerard Deulofeu and Isaac Success all came into the starting line-up for the trip to Molineux, as injuries have hit Javi Gracia’s side in recent weeks.
Goals from Capoue and Roberto Pereyra ensured it was the Hornets who claimed the spoils on the road and moved up to seventh place in the Premier League table in the process.
Capoue was impressed with the fresh faces in the Wolves game and feels it shows the competition for places at Vicarage Road is strong.
“Everyone did well and there were a couple of players who are used to not starting and I think they took their chance today,” Capoue told the club website.
“They were told before the game to show what they can do and they did that very well today.
“It was good for us to come here and win because we knew it was going to be a tough game and we wanted to show that we want to be above Wolves.”
