Cardiff Chairman Offers Warnock Full Support

Chairman Mehmet Dalman has backed Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock and praised him for the way he has handled recent tragic events. The Bluebirds boss admitted to going through his worst time in football after the sad death of Emiliano Sala, who died in a plane crash just days after being signed from Nantes by Warnock.
Dalman has decided to go on record to express his full support to Warnock and says he is doing a “tremendous job”. “I feel the need to raise this,” Dalman said. “I brought Neil into this club and I think he has done a tremendous job for us in more ways than one. It is important that he understands we are there for him. “He was there for us in a difficult period and got us promoted. He has brought some great players into the club and I want him to know we are a family. The fans, the board, the chairman, the CEO and the owner are fully behind him as he strives to achieve the status of staying in the Premier League.”

Warnock also admitted he had questioned his future at Cardiff following Sala’s death and considered stepping down, but Dalman insists he has not spoken about a possible exit with the manager.
He added on BBC Sport: “That discussion has never taken place and I have absolutely no intention of holding that discussion.”
