England head coach Eddie Jones says Gloucester fly-half Danny Cipriani will only be judged on his performances on the pitch. The 30-year-old’s career has been littered with misdemeanours off the field and he recently pleaded guilty to common assault and avoiding arrest.
Cipriani was handed a fine by the courts in Jersey and the number 10 was also reprimanded by his club and the Rugby Football Union.

Despite his issues, Cipriani is still being considered for a spot in England’s autumn internationals squad.
“I went down there on Monday and had a chat to him,” Jones told BBC Sport. “We will judge him on what he does on the pitch.”
England are scheduled to take on South Africa, New Zealand, Japan and Australia at Twickenham throughout November.
