Manchester City are reportedly ready to hand out a an improved contract to academy product Phil Foden. The 18-year-old has been tipped to enjoy a bright future in the game after forcing his way into the first team picture with City last term.
Foden was handed five Premier League outings in 2017-18, making a total of 10 appearances across all competitions, and he has already turned out on four occasions this season.
The midfielder netted his first goal for the club on Tuesday as City saw off Oxford in the Carabao Cup and reports claim the Premier League champions are eager to tie him down to a new deal.
His current contract is set to run until 2020 but City fear he could be snapped up by one of their rivals if he is not rewarded at the Etihad.
