City Told To Forget Skriniar

Manchester City may have to look elsewhere for a new defender in January, with reports that Inter Milan will not sell Milan Skriniar. Aymeric Laporte’s injury means that City chief Pep Guardiola might dip into the winter transfer market to ensure he has cover at the back for the second half of the season.

The Premier League champions have recently been linked with a swoop for the 24-year-old Slovakia international who has made 75 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri since joining in the summer of 2017.
However, Inter boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to hold on to the talented youngster, who enjoyed an outstanding season for Sampdoria before moving to the San Siro.

According to Tuttosport, the former Chelsea tactician will urge Inter bosses to reject any approaches from City or anyone else in January as he sees the talented youngster as key to his chances of keeping pace with the top Italian clubs.
Skriniar is said to be valued at £53million but, if Conte gets his way, even that amount will not be enough to see him leave Milan.
City have begun the season well and trail Liverpool by two points, and punters hoping to use a free bet might fancy them to win a third title in a row.
Guardiola’s charges are next in action on Saturday 14 September when they travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City.
