Jack Cork has urged Burnley to keep working hard as they look to build on a positive start to the 2019-20 campaign. Last season was a struggle for Burnley after they earned a shock berth in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League.
Sean Dyche’s failure to enhance the squad left them short of options and the Clarets boss was unable to rotate as the fixtures stacked up.
They did not taste victory until late September, losing four and drawing one of their opening five league games, and many predicted they could go down.
However, they managed to recover in the second half of the season and went on to finish six points clear of the relegation zone in 15th.

The Turf Moor outfit have started this term on a more positive note and they boast five points from their opening five matches.
An emphatic win at home to Southampton on the opening day was backed up by back-to-back draws away at Wolves and Brighton.
The Lancashire side have only won one of their three games on home soil, having lost to Arsenal and Liverpool, and they will be keen to address that record this weekend.
However, they face another difficult task as newly-promoted Norwich travel to Lancashire following a shock victory over Manchester City.
Cork is under no illusions as to how tough it will be to see off the Canaries when they square off on Saturday afternoon. “We had at Southampton at home, then Wolves and Arsenal away,” he told Burnley’s official website.
“We can’t take our foot off the gas because we’re all experienced enough to know it doesn’t get any easier.”
Burnley earned a 2-1 victory when they last hosted Norwich, albeit in the Championship in 2011, and they are unbeaten at home against the Norfolk-based side since 2004.
