Burnley are considering a January bid for Brentford forward Ollie Watkins, reports claim. The Clarets have struggled for goals this season with just 12 Premier League strikes to their name and manager Sean Dyche is eager to bring in more attacking reinforcements in the New Year.

English forward Watkins, who arrived at Griffin Park in 2017 from Exeter, is said to be top of the list because of his impressive Championship performances this term, which have produced six goals from 15 league appearances.
The 22-year-old is believed to be attracting interest from a number of teams and he could become the latest star to leave Brentford, with Jota, Florian Jozefzoon and John Egan all exiting over the past year.
However, the Bees, who are 13th in England’s second tier, are rumoured to want around £20million for Watkins and the price-tag could prove to be a huge stumbling block for the Premier League outfit.
