Left-back Charlie Taylor says shutting out Leicester City in the recent outing was huge for Burnley. The Clarets have looked a different side to the one built on a solid defence last season and they arrived at the King Power Stadium last Saturday after three straight Premier League defeats.

Sean Dyche’s men had conceded 13 goals in that run but managed to tighten up against the Foxes and record just their third clean sheet of the campaign with a 0-0 draw.
Former England Under-19 international Taylor was pleased to see a more resilient performance from Burnley and believes that display will provide a platform to build after the international break. “I think it’s huge for confidence,” he said.
“It’s great for a defender, you take more pride in it probably than the strikers do. But for the team as a whole it’s brilliant. Everyone knows we’ve let in a few goals recently so to get that clean sheet is huge for confidence for the team all round.
“We played Manchester City and Chelsea and obviously we know they’re world-class teams but I think we know it’s not been good enough, but on Saturday it was.”
