Coady Keen To Move On From Etihad Low

Wolves defender Conor Coady says he expects a reaction against Leicester on Saturday after Monday’s 3-0 reverse at Man City.

Wolves went down at the Etihad as free-scoring City had few problems in picking up all three points to trim Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League back down to four points.

The visitors conceded inside the first 10 minutes when Gabriel Jesus struck before the City man slotted home a penalty just before half-time.

Their task had been made tougher when Willy Boly was sent off in the first half and then Coady was unlucky to put through his own net for the third.
The centre-back admits things went against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side on the night.

He told the club’s website: “I thought the boys dug in to be honest. They scored from a cross for the last one, that’s what goes for you when you’re top of the league.

“We had to battle. We were saying, at 2-0 at half time, don’t concede any more and then we concede off a cross which is disappointing.”

Looking ahead to hosting the Foxes in the early game on Saturday, Coady added: “We’ve got to dust ourselves down and go again now. We’ve got a big game next week now, so we dust ourselves this week, make sure we’re ready and try and get them on it.”
