No Comeback Plan For Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather is adamant he is not looking to return to the ring on the back of his win over Tenshin Nasukawa. The 41-year-old faced the Japanese kickboxing and martial arts star in an exhibition in Tokyo on Monday and the former five-weight world champion dominated the bout.

Mayweather knocked his opponent down three times and Nasukawa ended the fight in tears.

The manner of his success has led to suggestions the American could put his 50-0 unbeaten record on the line if the right opponent comes along.

However, ‘Mayweather’ insists that will not be the case, insisting his outing in Japan was mainly down to his desire to entertain his Japanese fans. “I’m still retired. I don’t look forward to coming back to boxing,” Mayweather is quoted as saying by Boxing News 24. “But, you know, I did this just to entertain the fans in Japan. They wanted this to happen over here in Japan, so I said ‘why not’.”
