Connor – Hull Have To Improve

Hull FC star Jake Connor admits his team need to step up and improve when they take on Wigan Warriors this weekend. Lee Radford’s side have lost their first two games of the season after going down to Hull KR and Castleford Tigers.

Their task is not getting any easier as they prepare to travel to the DW Stadium on Sunday afternoon, with Wigan now starting to find their feet under coach Adrian Lam.

The Black and Whites have had a week off due to the World Club Challenge but are still struggling with injuries and Connor insists his team need to improve dramatically to win.

He told the Hull Daily Mail: “We’re going to have to go up again. I don’t think anyone ever questions Wigan if they have a bad start to the season because they’re always up there at the end. I’m hoping that’s where we are.

“We’ve still got a few injuries to come back and some of them are key players. “If we get everyone on the field we’ll put ourselves in better shape, but individual performances, everyone needs to step up if we’re going to win any game.”
