Curry Nearing Warriors Return

Curry Nearing Warriors Return

Golden State Warriors will again be without Stephen Curry for the visit of Orlando Magic but the star is nearing a return. The 30-year-old suffered a groin injury in the defeat to Milwaukee Bucks earlier this month and has missed the last nine outings for the Warriors, during a spell in which they are 4-5.

However, the two-time NBA MVP is expected to be able to make a return when the reigning champions begin a run of five games on the road, starting on Thursday at Toronto Raptors.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr prior to Saturday’s 117-116 win over Sacramento Kings said: “He’s [Curry] anxious to get back.”

Golden State will once again have to do without Curry on Monday night when in-form Orlando come to town, with the Magic having managed eight wins in their last 12 games.
