De Bruyne And Jesus Could Face Millers

Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus could come in for Manchester City’s FA Cup third-round tie with Rotherham United on Sunday.

De Bruyne has been back in training this week and, although he had been a doubt to miss the match because of a recent muscle problem, manager Pep Guardiola named him on the bench for City’s do-or-die Premier League clash with Liverpool on Thursday.

Jesus has been dropped to the bench for the past two matches after a lacklustre display against Crystal Palace and will be hoping to get the nod to return against Championship strugglers Rotherham.

City, however, will still be without Fabian Delph, who serves the third and final game of a suspension for his sending-off in the league defeat by Leicester.

Having now won their last two matches following a rough month in December, City boss Guardiola hopes his players can keep up the same spirit they showed on Thursday as they move forward in the season.

“Winning is addictive, the taste of it,” he said. “We spoke about that today. We said it was our final and we played like it – we were completely in, we competed… We lived the game like it was the last of our lives.”
