Burnley boss Sean Dyche will hand defender James Tarkowski a late fitness test ahead of an emotional afternoon at Leicester. Tarkowski will have his late test but Jack Cork and Phil Bardsley are expected to be available for Dyche’s men, who have lost three games in a row and conceded 13 goals along the way.
Kevin Long is expected to start in defence alongside Ben Mee, although Nick Pope (shoulder), Stephen Ward (knee) and Ben Gibson are out, but Robbie Brady, Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes are all pushing to start.
The Clarets travel to the Foxes for what will be the home side’s first match at King Power Stadium since the death of owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff, Kaveporn Punpare and Nusara Suknamai, and pilots and partners Eric Swaffer and Izabela Roza Lechowicz in a helicopter two weeks ago and there will be tributes prior to the match.
Dyche says the visitors will do whatever is asked of them by their hosts ahead of the game, and told reporters: “All we’ve done is made the players aware we’ll do everything we can to play our part if needed with the respect that’s deserved.”
