Matt Doherty has hailed the special talents of Wolves team-mate Adama Traore after Saturday’s win at West Ham. Wanderers shelled out a club-record £18million to sign Spain Under-21 international Traore from Middlesbrough this summer and the new arrival has already made an impact at Molineux.
The 22-year-old climbed off the bench at the London Stadium on Saturday to grab a last-gasp winner in the 1-0 victory against West Ham United, handing Wolves their first Premier League win of the season.
Republic of Ireland international Doherty, who has featured in every league game this term, has praised Traore for his impressive start to life in the West Midlands.
“He’s unique. You just can’t stop him,” he was quoted as saying by the Express and Star. “You see how many people are trying to take him down, he either gets away or gets fouled.
“He’s one of a kind, we haven’t seen anything like him before. It’s scary. It certainly helps when you’ve got a player coming off the bench who can run the whole length of the pitch before anybody even gets halfway.”
