Dragowski On Terriers Radar

Dragowski On Terriers Radar

Huddersfield are reportedly looking to sign Fiorentina goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski but will face competition for his signature.

The Terriers are in the market for a new number one following the departure of Jonas Lossl and they have been linked with the likes of Keiren Westwood and Aaron Ramsdale over recent weeks.

However, reports in Italy are now suggesting that the West Yorkshire outfit have turned their attention to Poland under-21 international Dragowski, who is currently impressing on loan at Serie A strugglers Empoli.

Dragowski is due to return to parent club Fiorentina following the final round of Serie A fixtures this weekend, but his pathway to the first-team at the Stadio Artemio Franchi is currently being blocked by Alban Lafont.

That has put a number of clubs on red alert, including Premier League duo West Ham and Southampton, although Huddersfield may be able to steal a march as, unlike the other two teams, they can offer the 21-year-old regular first-team football.

It is believed the Terriers have already made initial contact with Fiorentina to see what it would take to enable them to bring Dragowski to the John Smith’s Stadium.
