Gordon Elliott says the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle is again a goal for Apple’s Jade’s early in the season. The six-year-old makes her seasonal reappearance on Sunday at Navan and will be looking to repeat last year’s win in the Lismullen Hurdle.

While she also has an entry for next weekend’s Morgiana Hurdle, the Hatton’s Grace on December 2 looks a more realistic target and the Grade One has suited her perfectly in each of the last two years.
Elliott says things have been going well in her preparations for the season and, all being well on Sunday, he has suggested she will be going back to Fairyhouse looking to make it a hat-trick.
He said: “Apple’s Jade came back from the summer in great shape and she’s been going well at home. We’re looking forward to get her started in the Lismullen Hurdle and the plan is to head for the Hatton’s Grace. “I’m very happy with her.
She does tend to improve a good bit from her first run of the season and our horses are needing their comeback runs this year, so whatever she does on Sunday I know there will be more to come from her.”
