Arsenal boss Unai Emery insists he hasn’t spoken with chief executive Ivan Gazidis about his potential switch to AC Milan. Gazidis has been part of the set up with Arsenal since 2009 and he has been crucial in overhauling the management structure at the club.
He introduced roles such as head of football relations and head of recruitment, having appointed Raul Sanllehi and Sven Mislintat to those positions respectively, while he also oversaw Emery’s appointment.
Recent reports have suggested that his time at the Emirates could be coming to an end and it’s understood a move to AC Milan may be in the offing.
But the Spaniard admits he is in the dark as to whether Gazidis will soon depart and insists he is just focused on football.
“First of all, every conversation with him is speaking about us and about our work here every day. I don’t know any other news from him,” Emery said ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Newcastle on Saturday.
“Every conversation with me is speaking about us. About our performance. About our ideas. Our process. Then, for his future we didn’t speak. I think it’s one question for him.”
