Arsenal manager Unai Emery says he was “proud” of how his players played against Leicester despite losing 3-0.
Three goals in the second half, including a brace from former England man Jamie Vardy, saw Leicester comfortably beat the Gunners to inflict their third straight Premier League loss, all of them conceding three goals.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles was also sent off in the first half for two bookable offences in another very disappointing day for the Gunners that leaves them outside the top four.
With just two games left remaining in the Premier League – against Brighton and Burnley, Arsenal have to win those or hope to win the Europa League to get into next season’s Champions League.

Despite the nature of the loss, Emery was not critical of his players afterwards and says they dealt well with the circumstances.
Speaking after the game, Emery said: “The players worked very well.
I am very proud of them. “And with one player less they continued our game plan and thinking first to be together. “They were more defensively strong and in attacking moments we need to take our moment.”
