Espanyol defender Mario Hermoso is attracting more attention from other clubs with Arsenal and Bayern Munich now also said to be keen. The centre-back is reportedly in demand and has been linked with a return to former club Real Madrid, who are believed to have inserted a buy-back clause in the deal that saw him join Espanyol in the summer.

It is claimed Real have the option of re-signing the 23-year-old for as little as 7.5million euros, even though he has a release clause of around 40million euros if other clubs wish to purchase him.
But that seemingly hasn’t put German champions Bayern or Premier League giants Arsenal off pursuing a deal with reports suggesting both clubs are watching him closely ahead of the reopening of the transfer window in January.
Hermoso has impressed for Espanyol this season, scoring twice in 12 appearances so far.
