Everton appear to be back on the trail of Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Hannes Wolf after sending a scout to watch Austria’s under-21s.
The 19-year-old was linked with a move to Goodison Park in the summer, but remained in Austria – where he has continued to impress.

Wolf created seven chances for his team in Salzburg’s 3-1 Europa League win over Celtic last month and could well be the player that Everton scout Carlo Jacomuzzi was there to see.
Austria didn’t really trouble Serbia too much in Novi Sad with Wolf playing 90 minutes before being replaced in stoppage time.
The ex-Liefering midfielder has just over 18 months left on his contract in Salzburg and will be high on the list of other Premier League clubs too.
