Everton are lining up a shock swoop for former Manchester City star Samir Nasri, who will be available for free next month. Nasri was hit with an 18-month doping ban while on loan at Sevilla from Manchester City back in 2016, but the suspension is on the verge of expiring.

That means he is free and available outside of the transfer window as he is without a contract and a club, leaving the way clear for the Toffees to swoop.
Nasri can start training with clubs next month and reports are rife suggesting that Everton have already made moves to get him on board at Goodison Park.
At just 31, Samir still has a number of good years ahead of him at the top level and it is no surprise that boss Marco Silva is considering offering him a deal.
Nasri is seen as an alternative to the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison in the Everton side, and considering he is available on a free, could turn out to be a bargain signing.
