South Africa have been boosted by the news skipper Faf du Plessis is fit again and he will play against Zimbabwe in the third ODI.
The Proteas captain has been out of the side since picking up an injury fielding at the start of August in Sri Lanka but, after training with side, he has declared himself fit for the third match in the series.
“Mentally and physically, I’m feeling exceptionally good,” he said. “I feel like a youngster in the team again – I have a spring in the step.”
Du Plessis has played six ODIs against Zimbabwe, scoring 314 runs at 52.33, with a highest score of 121.
South Africa already lead the series 2-0 and are going for a whitewash.
