Favre Ready For Tough European Group

Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre has admitted his side have a real battle on their hands to reach the Champions League knockout stages.

The Bundesliga outfit were named in arguably the toughest group of the draw, with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Sparta Prague all heading to Dortmund.

Favre is fully away of the challenge ahead for his side but is upbeat on their chances of making progress in the competition.

“It really is a very tough group! We’re definitely going to have our work cut out for us,” Favre said. “There’s nothing more that needs to be said about a Barca side with Messi and co, while Inter are out to reclaim their spot as the top side in Italy and have spent a lot of money in the summer.

“Prague also impressed last season in Europe, going out to eventual winners Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Europa League. But we’re going into it with a positive mindset!”
