Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has indicated that Nabil Fekir will be allowed to leave the club during the summer transfer window. Fekir has played his entire professional career with Les Gones side since making his debut back in 2013 but it seems as though his days at Groupama Stadium are numbered.

The 25-year-old has just 12 months left on his present deal and the Ligue 1, outfit, Lyon appear keen to cash in on their prized asset. Nabir Fekir looked set to join Liverpool last summer but a proposed £53m move fell through at the last minute and it remains to be seen if Reds boss Jurgen Klopp goes back in for the forward this off-season.

Aulas has already stated that a couple of his players will leave over the next couple of months but has now made it clear the club will not stand in Fekir’s way. “Effectively, Nabil is outside [of the two departures], because we have an understanding that he can go,” he said. “Thanks Nabil for bringing what he brought, we have an understanding to let him go.”
