Fiorentina are reportedly keen on Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini and are hoping to sort out a deal for him next month. Sky Italy claims the forward is wanted by several clubs in Italy and Spain, but Fiorentina are leading the chase for his signature.
New Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl could be prepared to offload the 27-year-old in January after so far opting to use Danny Ings up front instead and it’s thought Gabbiadini is open to the idea of an exit.
Fellow Serie A side Bologna have also been heavily linked with Gabbiadini, who joined from Napoli in a £14.6million deal in January 2017.
Gabbiadini hit six goals in his first four games for Southampton but he’s managed just six in all competitions since and has had to cope with the managerial merry-go-round St Mary’s in the past few years, playing under Claude Puel, Mauricio Pellegrino, Mark Hughes and now Hasenhuttl on the south coast. Fiorentina have been observing with keen interest and might likely make a move for the striker soon.
