Dwight Gayle says he has thought about the possibility of making his loan move at West Brom permanent. English striker Gayle made the season-long loan switch to the Hawthorns from Newcastle United in the summer as Venezuela international Salomon Rondon went in the other direction.

The latter scored his first and second United goals in the 2-1 victory over Bournemouth prior to the international break whilst Gayle has bagged nine goals from 14 Championship appearances.
Both players are being linked with permanent stays and it is thought a deal could be agreed between the two clubs in the January transfer window.
Gayle was asked about his current situation and admitted he has given a full-time stay with the Baggies some thought. “Yeah of course it’s crossed my mind,” he told Birmingham Live. “It’s something that will be on the cards, but I suppose I’ve just got to get this season out of the way and let others get on with what they’ve got to do.”
