GGG Bounces Back In New York

Gennady Golovkin returned to winning ways with victory over Steve Rolls on Saturday before turning his attention to Canelo Alvarez. GGG was eager to bounce back from his first professional defeat the hand of Canelo in September and he didn’t disappoint at Madison Square Garden.

The former middleweight world champion picked Rolls apart before landing a knockout blow on Rolls with 51 seconds remaining in the fourth round. Golovkin wasted little time in calling out Canelo for a rematch as he looks to reclaim the three middleweight titles in September.

“Everybody knows. Everybody knows,” Golovkin said. “First guys, of course, I’m ready for Canelo in September. I’m ready to come out. Just ask him. If you want a big drama show, please tell him.”
