Grant Off The Mark For Terriers

Karlan Grant has now scored his first goal for Huddersfield after being credited with the consolation effort against Arsenal. The 21-year-old boyhood Gunners fan, who joined the Terriers from Charlton Athletic in the January transfer window, had stressed that he got the final touch on the ball off his knee to edge it over the line in the 92nd minute of the 2-1 defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium on February 9.

Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac had been awarded an own goal, but the Terriers subsequently lodged an appeal and the Premier League have now backed it and given the goal to Grant.
It is only the second goal scored by a Huddersfield striker this season to add to Steve Mounie’s solitary effort, as the club have only managed a total of 14 in 26 Premier League outings – a huge reason behind their struggles at the foot of the table, 14 points adrift of safety.
