Grayson Happy To Be Back At Saints

Paul Grayson admitted his excitement after returning to Northampton as the club’s new consultant kicking coach. The 47-year-old racked up 2,786 points from 259 appearances in Saints colours during a 19-year playing career at Franklin’s Gardens, while also winning 32 England caps.

The former fly-half returned to the Franklin’s Gardens, as coach after hanging up his playing boots in 2005 and led them to the Heineken Cup semi-finals in 2007.
Known more as a kicking stand-off than a natural runner with the ball, the man from Chorley is now back at the club to pass on his extensive knowledge.

“This is a very exciting time to be re-joining the Saints set-up,” he said. “Northampton Saints is in my blood so I am delighted to accept this opportunity.
“I have clear ideas of what I would like to contribute and I cannot wait to get out on to the training ground and get started.”
