Cardiff City striker Rhys Healey is wanted by League Two outfit Grimsby Town on loan. The 23-year-old impressed in pre-season but failed to secure a place in Neil Warnock’s 25-man Premier League squad and is therefore on the lookout for a loan move away before the August 31 deadline.
Grimsby have emerged as favourites to sign him and a deal could reportedly be struck this week.
Healey has made 13 senior appearances for the Bluebirds and is rated highly by the club after impressing on loan last season at Torquay, scoring six goals in eight games for the then National League side.
Healey is one of several fringe players at the Cardiff City Stadium who are expected to exit on loan before the end of the month as Warnock looks to move on those who are not immediately in his plans.
